PDS Librarian

PDS Librarian is a single application that is comprised of a suite of facilities which embrace the complete library management flow. It provides a navigation interface to browse, edit, and merge data across libraries stored in leading CAD tool formats. It incorporates support for electronic library standards; a series of interactive dialogs are provided to define requirements for symbols, part descriptions, and PCB footprints.

PDS Librarian provides an environment for verification of library data. Configured standards are used to confirm library objects meet corporate requirements; a suite of forms may be used to view and correct library discrepancies with ease. The verification flow provides the ability to automatically create a test design that certifies the ability to place library parts on a schematic and a board.

PDS Librarian incorporates interactive symbol and PCB footprint editors. It includes facilities for adding and editing pins, properties, graphics and text; library standards serve as defaults for the editing tools. Symbols and PCB footprints may be sent directly to the CAD platform of choice; each registered library will designate the default CAD tool(s) to be used for this purpose.
